Even when money is gone, reports feed investigations and warning systems.
Primary federal portals
- ReportFraud.ftc.gov — consumer scams, identity theft pathways
- IdentityTheft.gov — recovery plans when identity is stolen
- IC3.gov — internet crime complaints for the FBI
Include dates, amounts, usernames, wallet addresses, phone numbers, and screenshots.
Banks and platforms
Call the bank or card issuer first for unauthorized charges. Report marketplace fraud inside the platform as well.
Local law enforcement
For significant financial loss, in-person threats, or when a bank requires a police report, contact local law enforcement in your Forsyth County jurisdiction. Bring your FTC/IC3 reference numbers.
